Afghanistan Mazar i Sharif 1979 Country Fair is a preview of an amateur film. The original film was made in early 1979 during a 4 month stay in Afghanistan using a Super 8mm format no soundtrack Movie Camera with celluloid Super 8mm motion picture film. Video is taken "quick and dirty" using a Video Hi8 Handy Cam directly from a projection screen.

Footnotes to the video:

  • The ferris wheel shaft is made off a rear dif axle.
  • Scary, I have noticed very often Afghan people seem to have no altitude apprehension watch the guy on the ferris wheel.
  • Cigarettes, imported from east european countries, were sold by piece.
